Poem: Bain Park Cabin After Snow

Bain Park Cabin After Snow

Unbroken by footfall or other track
As one might find deep in the woods
A cabin that in such snow once stood
Alone, here marks a neighborhood

Carved from forest with an axe
Not on edge but far inside -
Where the old trees did reside
When things were still and quiet

Now lights shine front and back
As once only the moon shone
And music and laughter echo
Over the freshly fallen snow
