TUNE IN THURSDAY swings on March 5 when “Red Light Roxy” gives you an upbeat mix of jump blues, swing and boogie-woogie. 

March 2 at 6:30 p.m.   Mystery Monday kicks off with "Northanger Abbey" by Val McDermid. Pick up a copy and join the deadly discussion of this book! A modern day interpretation of Jane Austen’s gothic mystery of the same name, this book proves everything old is new again.

March 5 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.  Teens are invited to make some Duct Tape Creations at the Library. Grab your friends and stop by the library for a new teen event each month. Grades 7 and up.

March 5 at 7:00 p.m.   TUNE IN THURSDAY swings when “Red Light Roxy” gives you an upbeat mix of jump blues, swing and boogie-woogie. This group of great musicians and vocalist play selections from the Great American Songbook. You may have seen them at WOW, the Tri-C JazzFest, and other places. 

March 9 at 6:30 p.m.   Join us for “The Dark Valley,” a 2014 German Western, as we continue our Indie International Film Fest, featuring selections from the world’s top film festivals. Enjoy fresh, hot popcorn while celebrating the world of cinema. Please note these films have not been rated and should be assumed to have mature content.

March 11 at 3:30 p.m.   Teen Pizza Pagers meet for pizza and a book discussion group. Stop by the Reference Desk to register and pick up a copy of the current book. Grade 7 and 8.

March 12 at 7:00 p.m.   Take part in the Adult Rocky River Readers book discussion of “The Goldfinch” by Donna Tartt.  A young boy in New York City survives an accident that takes the life of his mother, becomes obsessed by a small painting that reminds him of her, and is ultimately drawn into the art underworld. Read this 2014 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of loss, obsession, survival, and self-invention and come to discuss.

March 16 at 3:30 p.m.   It's Movie Monday for students in grades 3-6! Drop in for Disney's "Big Hero 6" after school and enjoy free popcorn and drinks.  

March 18 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.   Ask us your technology questions at our Computer Breakfast Series.  You can email questions to our computer training team at computer.training@rrpl.org by February 28. 

March 18 from 3:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.   The High School Book Club offers snacks and lively conversations. Stop by the Reference Desk to register and pick up a copy of the current book. Grades 9 and up. 

March 21 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.   ACT Prep Class and Practice Test will help you brush up on your ACT test-taking skills with a Princeton Review® test prep and strategy session. ACT Practice Test takes place on March 28 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Auditorium. Registration required for each event.

March 21 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.   Be a part of the Guild of the Brick for ages 5 and older.  Are you crazy about Legos®?  Then please drop in! We provide the Legos®, you bring the imagination.  

March 25 from 3:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.   Time to Get in the Game! with other students in grades 3-6. Meet at the library to hang out with your friends, play games and munch on snacks. Different games are featured each month, including Wii Just Dance, PlayStation Rock Band, party games and board games.  

March 26 at 7:00 p.m.   Get ready for the growing season with Smart Solutions for Shade Gardening. Master gardeners explain how to have a beautiful garden when you can’t count on the sun. Come with lots of questions and receive plenty of good, practical advice.

March 27 at 12:00 p.m.   Come for a Lunchtime Movie. Join us to watch "Into the Woods" starring Meryl Streep, James Corden and Emily Blunt. Popcorn and drinks provided.

March 31 from 6:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.   Play Dungeons & Dragon. Join us for this classic fantasy role-playing game with other teens. Learn how to create a character and embark on fantastic adventures. There is plenty of room for extra Dungeon Masters, too! Grades 7 and up. Registration required.
