Tri Delta Bridge-a-Rama Event Benefits The MetroHealth Foundation

On Sunday, June 1, under the leadership of Rocky River’s Elda Krach, members of Delta Delta Delta West Side Alumnae Chapter and over 100 Cleveland-area bridge players gathered at the Cleveland Yachting Club to celebrate sustained giving to The MetroHealth Foundation. Elda Krach started the Tri Delta Bridge-A-Rama organization 49 years ago to support MetroHealth’s research and Child Life and Education Department. Funds are raised by more than 1,000 bridge players donating each time they play, in addition to other fundraising events during the year.

In 2013, $15,000 was donated by Tri Delta Bridge-A-Rama to MetroHealth.  Thanks to a matching gift in honor of Elda Krach by her son, Keith Krach (San Francisco, CA), the total amount donated to The MetroHealth Foundation was $30,000.

Luann Maynard, Philanthropy Officer at MetroHealth notes, "The Child Life Patient Care, Education and Research fund, to which the funds are directed annually, continues to provide care for scores of children who would otherwise go without care when in the hospital.”
