Heroin - The Accidental Killer

Heroin can be deadly, even if all you are looking for is one more “high”.  Parents might think, “My kids would never do that”, and hopefully, they are right.  But what about your kids' friends and classmates and teammates? I bet if you ask your teenage kids, maybe even your preteen kids, if they know of anyone at school who is using drugs, they will admit that they do.  Pretty scary, isn't it?

The Addiction Ministry team at West Shore Unitarian Church in Rocky River is presenting a program about heroin addiction on Friday, May 2, at 7:00 pm.  The panel will include Judge Michael Astrab, a Cuyahoga County Common Pleas judge who handles felony drug cases for the county; a medical doctor; the parent of a teen; and teenagers who are in recovery from heroin addiction.

The church is located at 20401 Hilliard Blvd., and the program is free and open to the public.  All are welcome, and we especially welcome middle school students and their parents.
