Rocky River Watershed Council Public Meeting and Coe Creek Restoration Tour
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Coe Creek will be highlighted at the Rocky River Watershed Council’s next quarterly public meeting on Wednesday, October 22 at Fairview Park’s Bain Park Cabin.
A tour of the City’s Coe Creek Streambank Restoration Project in Bain Park will start at 6:00 PM, followed by a public meeting at 6:30 PM that will feature presentations on Coe Creek by Fairview High School students, updates from around the watershed and the formation of the new Coe Creek Stream Team. Snacks, including pizza, will be provided. This event is open to all at no cost.
The Bain Park Cabin is located at 21077 North Park Dr. (at the intersection of North Park Dr. and Hillsdale Ave.) in Fairview Park.
Funded through Ohio EPA’s Surface Water Improvement Fund, the City’s Coe Creek Streambank Restoration Project will improve Coe Creek by repairing an eroding streambank, demonstrating floodplain reconnection and increasing the width of the streamside forest. Coe Creek begins in North Olmsted before flowing through Fairview Park and into the Rocky River at Big Met Golf Course.
